Photo of the Week Contest – Week #1

365:2:71 .. I've Been Framed (by fwumpbungle)

Your Photo Here...

Every week we’ll be setting a different theme and inviting you to contribute your photos to our Flickr group pool. At the end of the week we’ll choose a favourite (or probably get somebody else to choose one) as our Photo of the Week, and feature it here on the website (along with a brief profile of the winning photographer).

As we’ve just entered 2009, and we’ve just launched the website, we thought it would be fitting if the theme for this first week was ‘New‘. Interpret the theme in any way you like – there are no restrictions on the type of shot you take (portrait, macro, landscape, collage, abstract – anything goes!), so let your creativity have free rein (just try to keep it within a PG13 rating!)  Briefly explain your interpretation in the photo description, add it to the group pool, and post a small or medium version of it in the appropriate discussion thread!

You can also enter multiple times, if you so wish.

Closing date for entries to Week #1 is January 8th, 2009 (noon GMT …or thereabouts).

Week one’s contest is now closed.  The winner will be announced here shortly, but for information on this and week two’s subject – head over to the pool now!

edit: to clarify we are asking you to go and shoot a new image for this theme, not grab one from your archives…..not that we have a problem with you doing this or submitting it to the pool, but your very (very very) unlikely to win without putting in the effort =)

Now… get shooting ;-)
